Château Meyre logo

This Bordeaux estate has grown grapes and produced fine wines for more than three centuries, and is very prestigious indeed. The château, ideally located between the vineyards of Moulis and Margaux. it was in 1876 that the estate was listed among the best growths in Avensan, and in 1932 it's wines were classified as Cru Bourgeois. The estate covers seventeen hectares of the best plots of land near Avensan, 30 kilometers north of Bordeaux. In 1992, the domain was expanded to the Margaux area through the acquisition of two hectares of vines around the village of Soussans, enabling Château Meyre to produce a Cru Bourgeois Haut-Médoc and a Margaux from these two quite distinct "terroirs". Wine aficionados will be impressed by the many awards the château has won for its wines.
